+ Who are we?

Grand Haven Cycleboat, formally known as Grand Haven Paddle Pub, is now in it's second season operating private chartered river trips up & down Grand River and into Spring Lake. The owners & operators are both United States Coast Guard Licensed Captains and have many years of combined boating experience. They are excited to share their passion of life on the water with you and your group!

+ What kind of vessel will I be boarding?

Our boat is a custom built 2019 Cascade Cycleboat. It is equipped with 10 bike seats and a 30 HP Suzuki Outboard.

+ How many people can ride?

You can have a maximum of 16 passengers aboard. Our trips are privately chartered, which means we do not fill seats in the boat. It is up to you to assemble a group for your trip whether that's a smaller party or the full capacity of 16.

+ Is there an age limit for passengers?

We welcome all ages aboard GH Cycleboat! If passengers are under 18 years old, they must be accompanied by a legal guardian. A valid form of ID and waiver signatures for every passenger will be required before boarding the boat. Guardians must sign for every underage passenger they are responsible for.

+ Where does the trip begin & end?

Trips both begin & end at our dock in the Grand Haven Municipal Marina along Chinook Pier. We ask that you arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to begin checking-in your party. Trips start at your scheduled time no matter if you're late to respect the trips that follow. If unsure of where to meet or potential parking issues arise, we recommend adding an additional 15-30 minutes of prep time before your scheduled trip.

+ Is there a bathroom on the boat?

There isn't a bathroom on board GH Cycleboat. Our dock is nearby the Municipal Marina bathrooms and we ask that you use them prior to your trip. Your Captain can always drive back to the dock if there is a bathroom emergency, but please make note that when the boat is farther up river or into Spring Lake it takes about 15 minutes to get back to the dock. Trips are 2 hours long, dock-to-dock, so communicate with your party if/when you would prefer to come back for a bathroom break. We firmly do not tolerate any passenger going to the bathrooom on or off the side of the boat, if the crew sees this behavior your trip will immediately be terminated without a refund.

+ What should I bring?

Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks to enjoy while on board! We have huge coolers in the middle of the bar to fill with all of your goodies. We do not provide ice in the coolers, so we highly recommend bringing ice or purchasing some from the Municipal Marina upon arrival. We also recommend bringing along sunscreen/protective clothing for sunny days and extra layers for chilly weather. Insect repellent is also nice to have just in case it gets buggy!

+ Can I have alcohol on the boat?

We allow consumption of alcoholic beverages onboard if aged 21+. Valid Identification will be checked upon arrival and if there are any underaged passengers, wrist bands will be worn for anyone aged 21+. We are purely a BYOB business, meaning we do not provide any alcoholic beverages to passengers.

+ What items are restricted?

We firmly do not allow glass or kegs on the boat. We ask that you transfer any liquids in glass bottles to another drinking vessel to ensure the safety of everyone on the boat. Souvenir plastic cups will be available for purchase at the dock.

+ Is there music on the boat?

We have some awesome JBL Bluetooth speakers installed on the boat for you to connect to. Feel free to jam out to whatever music you have or we can play some of our tunes as well.

+ What if the weather is bad?

Weather cancellations are decided day of by the Captain of your trip. The boat is equipped with a removable canvas canopy for light rainfall conditions, so your trip will continue despite rainy or windy weather. If your Captain deems the weather to be considered severe/unsafe, they will notify you at least 2 hours before your schedule trip time and credit you for a future booking. Severe weather includes heavy downpour, thunder, and lightning. Your Captain will be watching the radar day of and weather cancellations are only determined by them, non-negotiable.

+ What is the cancellation policy?

Once a trip is booked, it is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule for any reason, you are able to do so 14 days prior to your scheduled trip for a booking credit. Due to the incredibly short season in this industry, we expect our customers to understand how we cannot accommodate any special cancellation requests.
